Dimensions are width × height
A requirement such as 200 × 230 pixels fixes the shape and pixel count. A passport-style photo is usually taller than it is wide. A signature is usually much wider than it is tall. If the shape is wrong, automatic resizing may stretch or crop important content.
KB is the stored file size
Two images with identical dimensions can have different KB sizes. JPG quality, detail, noise and colour all affect compression. “Maximum 50 KB” means the final file must not exceed that limit; it does not mean the image must be exactly 50 KB.
JPG, PNG and other formats
Use the format named in the notification. JPG is common for photos because it compresses well. A transparent PNG signature may acquire a dark or unusual background on some portals, so convert it to a white-background JPG when required.
A good application photograph
- Use a recent, sharp image with even light on the face.
- Keep the face centred with sufficient space around the head.
- Use the specified plain background and avoid filters.
- Do not upload a screenshot containing borders, app controls or other text.
- Follow live-capture instructions when the portal asks for a webcam or mobile photo.
A good signature image
- Sign with dark blue or black ink on plain white paper.
- Photograph or scan in bright, even light.
- Crop close to the signature without cutting strokes.
- Keep the signature horizontal and readable.
- Upload the candidate’s own signature, not a typed name.
Check the final download
Open the prepared file outside the tool. Confirm the face or complete signature is visible, the file extension is correct and the KB size is within the limit. The AavedanKit image tool processes the file on your device, but you must still match the current notice.
