1. Identify the recruiting body
Read the name of the commission or agency conducting the recruitment: for example SSC, UPSC, a Railway Recruitment Board, a state public service commission or NTA. Open that body’s official homepage from a trusted bookmark or AavedanKit’s official quick links.
Many government sites end in .gov.in or .nic.in, but the ending alone is not proof. Some authorised application systems use a different domain. The safest path is the application link published on the commission’s own website.
2. Match the advertisement number
The post title can be shortened or copied incorrectly by third-party websites. Match the advertisement or CEN number, publication date and recruiting department. Download the PDF and keep a copy. If a revised notice, corrigendum or extension appears, read it together with the original.
3. Check the dates and exact closing time
Write down the registration start, fee-payment deadline, final submission date, correction window and examination date separately. They are not always the same. A notice may close at 6:00 PM rather than midnight. Submit early enough to handle a slow server or failed payment.
4. Verify eligibility before paying
Check nationality, age on the stated cut-off date, educational qualification, experience, category rules and required certificates. “Appearing” candidates are eligible only when the notice explicitly allows them. Do not assume last year’s conditions still apply.
5. Inspect the payment and login page
Open it through the official notice. Check the browser address before entering an OTP or payment detail. A commission will not ask you to share a password or OTP with a person on WhatsApp. Save the final application PDF and payment receipt after submission.
If two sources disagree
Use the newest corrigendum on the official recruiting website. AavedanKit and other information sites can help you discover an update, but only the official notice can change the recruitment conditions.
